What is the problem with Network Marketing?

What is the underlining problem with Network Marketing? It is not the business concept since a majority of Network Marketing businesses are quite attractive due to the low cost of entry and the potential for residual income is undeniable. So what is the challenge? People! Unfortunately, some of the people Network Marketing attracts are NOT really qualified or prepared to become serious business owners. The noticeable characteristics of these people are:

• Have no previous experience owning or running a business

• Have no previous experience in sales

• Have little or no experience developing business relationships other than that of employer-employee-co-worker

• Have unrealistic expectations of the amount of work involved compared to the revenue realized

Unfortunately, due to their unprofessional behavior and lack of appropriate communication these people can:

• Over-sell the opportunity

• Inappropriately discussing business in social situations

• Come across as desperate

• Over-focused on new recruits and neglecting existing team members and/or customers

• Being either inaccurate or deceptive when talking about their business opportunity

I encourage you to not pre-judge the exceptional business concept of Network Marketing based on this small minority of people. The majority of people involved in Network Marketing are exceptionally professional and are genuinely incredible people. True Network Marketers are serious about building a business. They are the consummate professionals who are continuously educating themselves on business fundamentals, marketing techniques, and strategies for networking, business development and personal development. They are some of the most positive people I have had the privilege to meet and have been influential in assisting me with my own Network Marketing business along with my personal development.    

Please do not allow the minority of negativity to steal this incredible opportunity from you. Networking Marketing is an amazing business opportunity with the potential to allow you more Fun, Freedom and Fulfillment in your life. The concepts of this business model is simple but not easy. Remember if you treat it like a hobby and it will pay like a hobby. Get into the mindset of treating it like a Business and it will pay you like a Business.
